Emily de Molly: Dark Forces

Howdy all!  Sunday evening posts always leave me a little sad cuz it means that the weekend is just about over.  However, it is impossible to be too sad whilst wearing the fabulousness I have on my nails today!  Some of you know of my obsession with Emily de Molly's "Forces" polishes.  I now own all three...there's just something about knocking out a lemming that makes your day a bit brighter, yes?  :)

Anyway, on to the polish pics!

Dark Forces is a black jelly jam-packed with holographic silver glitters in several sizes of hexes and large dots.  Oh how she sparkles in the light!

I really don't have a lot to say about this polish.  It's wonderful!  The formula is great, easy application, no dragging or balding with the glitters.  I'm wearing 3 coats in these photos which gives full opacity.

It's like having a galaxy of tiny, colorful planets on your fingertips!  The depth and the layering of the glitters are so lovely.

In my experience so far, Emily de Molly polishes are really worth the price.  They retail (on Llarowe) for $13-$15 for a 12ml bottle.  I've swatched the other "Forces" polishes here and here, if you'd like to take a gander at their gloriousness as well.

Thanks so much for reading!

Emily de Molly's Oceanic Forces

Hi there!  Is everyone as ready for the weekend as I am?  It's been a long week and I'm so glad it's finally Friday.  Plus, I got my Llarowe order yesterday.  What was in that order, you ask?  Only the 2 lemmings that complete my trifecta of lemmingness!  Emily de Molly's Oceanic Forces AND Dark Forces (I already own Cosmic Forces and you can see my swatches of it here)!  You really should have witnessed my victory jig when I got my confirmation email...it was awkward lol

I'm showing you Oceanic Forces today and Dark Forces will come in a few days.  Ok guys, I'm really not gonna type a lot here, but let the photos speak for themselves...cuz they speak volumes of awesomeness!

If you're unfamiliar with Oceanic Forces, it's a deep teal jelly with large holographic teal dots and two sizes of holographic teal hexes.  The formula here is damn near flawless, opaque in 2 coats although I'm wearing 3 here because I always want MORE DOTS!  Said dots were easily fish-able after turning the bottle upside for a bit.

Gah!  Seriously, I'm so thrilled to own this polish!  The depth and the sparkle and the color...Oh. Em. Gee. the color!  My advice to you is to never pass Oceanic Forces up if you see it anywhere.  It retails for $13 on Llarowe's site and, if you live in Australia (or know someone who's willing to ship internationally from Down Under), you can purchase from Emily de Molly's Etsy store where full size bottles will run you between $5.69 to $10.44.  EdM does not ship internationally at the moment, but maybe you've got a good Aussie hook up...if you do, I envy you!

Emily de Molly's Cosmic Forces

Howdy, everyone!  We're back around to Monday already, did everyone get some relaxation in this weekend?  It was in short supply for me as we've come to festival season here in Chicago.  My employer, Dana Reed Designs, does a few of the shows every summer and last weekend, I helped her work the booth both Saturday and Sunday.  It's fun, but it sure wears me out!

Anyway, on to the important topic here, nail polish!  I was lucky enough to snag a bottle of Emily de Molly's Cosmic Forces during last week's Llarowe restock.  I missed it on the early restock, but managed to nab it in the evening one.  I really wanted Oceanic Forces as well, but either she didn't do a restock on it or I just missed it both times.  In any case, I got the bottle a couple of days ago and am just now getting my post up about it.  Without further ado, on to the pictures!

CF is a dark purple jelly packed with lavender and fuchsia micro glitter, lavender hexes, fuchsia dots and large lavender holo dots.  This polish definitely lives up to all the lip (blog post) service that I've read over the last few months.  It's simply stunning!

I didn't have any trouble with application, this is 3 thin coats.  I did have to fish a bit at first for the larger dots but, after the first coat, I turned the bottle upside down between coats and I had no issues after that.  All the glitter laid flat on my nails and 2 coats of Seche Vite was enough to smooth out any bumpiness.

I wish I could have gotten a better shot of the depths of CF on my nails, but my camera just wouldn't cooperate.  Above is a macro of the bottle so you can get an idea of the depth here.  Cosmic Forces really is worth every penny...so, so pretty!  Even my boyfriend said "Wow!  That's got so much depth!" when I showed him my swatch.

Thanks so much for reading and stop back by for my next ABC Challenge post coming up (hopefully!) tomorrow!
