ABC Challenge: D is for Dream On & Debris
Hi there, everyone! It's time for another ABC Challenge manicure! We're on to the letter "D". I think I missed the obvious "doticure" here when I was coming up with something to do. I decided to combine 2 polishes that start with "D" instead. Here's what I got:
....more after the jump....
I started with 1 coat of Sinful Colors Dream On, a fuchsia jelly, then topped it with Cirque's Debris. Debris is a clear base with micro holographic glitter and black and silver square and hex glitter (my high school English teacher is cringing at that sentence, I'm sure). After Debris dried, I decided I wanted a jelly sandwich, so I applied another coat of Dream On and topped everything with Seche Vite.
Again, you'll notice the camera freak out. Dream On is a difficult color to capture and I had to do a lot of fiddling with color correction. I've just about had it with my camera/lighting situation, so look for some changes coming soon!
I will say that this mani rocks! Who doesn't love a good jelly sandwich?! The color really pops and I love how the black bits in Debris look like seeds almost.
I'm so excited to see what the other gals in the Challenge have come up with this week. Please go visit a few of them and give 'em some love! You can find the links below :)
Thanks so much for reading!

You can never go wrong with vibrant pinks and fuchsias. I really like this mani - fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you! This Challenge has been fun so far, can't wait for the rest!
DeleteOoo I love the color combo!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I figured you just can't go wrong with pink and black :)
DeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteLooks great! Cool idea to sandwich it :) My camera freaks out with colors like this too but for some reason my iPhone 4S handles them like a champion.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ria. I tried to catch it on my Samsung Blaze as well, but that camera couldn't handle it either. Maybe I'll look into an iPhone for my next smart phone :)
DeleteHot!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteI feel the same way about my picture situation. I want a camera that actually captures colors true to real life.
ReplyDeleteBut, this mani is cute! I love Dream On, too :)
I'm still learning a lot about photography in general, and I'm convinced it's something I'm doing or not doing. My camera is actually fairly decent, but who knows?
DeleteThanks!
It's beautiful! I just adore this striking combination.
ReplyDeleteAs for your English teacher, I think she'd approve.
:)

Ha! I'm certain Mrs. Ferguson is ashamed of my grammar on a regular basis, but thanks for your vote of confidence! :)
DeleteBeautiful jelly sandwich! I been wanting to get this polish for a long time! You just connvinced me to go and buy it for sure!
ReplyDeleteIt's a must have for me! Between Dream On and Fuchsia-rama from Wet 'n' Wild, I've got my fuchsia jellies covered!
DeleteI have yet to try a jelly sandwich, this is pretty awesome, super cute :)
ReplyDeleteThey're really easy once you get the hang of it. Thanks!
DeleteLove the color combo. Great mani! I have Dream On and I never thought to use it for a jelly mani :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's the first time I've done a sandwich with Dream On and I think it worked out really well :)
DeleteCirque polishes are soooo lovely... Can't wait for their arrival in an European on line store! :)
ReplyDeleteThey are really lovely. They use essential oils in their mix too, so they smell pretty nice as well as looking fantastic!
DeleteLove the bright color!
ReplyDeleteI have never tried a jelly polish, and I think now I will have to. Super pretty color
ReplyDeleteI used to really dislike them because they dry to a weird semi-matte finish. I didn't realize you could top coat them and bring out all the fabulous squishy color! Thank you!
DeleteI love Dream On, and it looks awesome with Debris!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kimber!
DeleteI love me some black glitter, this totally reminds me of raspberry jam!! So pretty!!
ReplyDeleteRight?! I was thinking of strawberry seeds actually, but raspberry works as well...thanks!
DeleteI love that Sinful! And I had no idea it was a jelly! Adding to my wishlist!
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize it was a jelly when I bought it either. The first time I wore it, I was thrilled to find out it was! Thanks!
DeleteVery nice combo! :D I love the glitter.
ReplyDeleteThis mani def rocks!!! Love the color combos and design. I really like what you did here with your mani. It looks so classy and unique. Love it! Great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCool combo you're making me want to get Debris!!! Love cirque!
