Navy + Nude Gradient Manicure
Howdy all! Welcome to my new followers, I seem to have picked a couple up over the last couple of weeks. Glad to have you on board!
Today I've got a fun little gradient for you. I saw a similar look earlier this week on Ermahgerd Perlish! and I loved the effect! Check out her post here for the original version. And check out my pics below to see what I did :)
....more after the jump....
I hadn't thought of a gradient with this much contrast before but, OMG, I love it! It's so dramatic! I started with 3 coats of Wet 'n' Wild's MegaLast in 2% Milk, a nude with pink tones. After that dried, I sponged on China Glaze's First Mate, a dark navy creme. I did one coat of Seche Vite but I probably should have done two as you can kind of see some texture from the sponge coming through. Oh well, I don't feel like retaking photos so this is as good as it gets today lol
I'm definitely going to have to try this out with some other colors, I think hot pink would look smashing as well.
In other news, I got my Darling Diva polish in the mail today and I'm expecting my Julep Maven box any day, so stay tuned for some new swatches. I'm excited about the Darling Diva in particular, so I imagine I'll have that swatched and up by tomorrow evening.
Thanks so much for reading!
