ABC Challenge: G is for Green Galaxy Nails
Hey, guys. Super quick ABC Challenge post tonight. It's been a bad night and I wouldn't even be posting except that I already had photos taken and I needed to keep busy. Anyway, we're on to "G" so I decided to do Galaxy nails. I gave it a go in green, not sure if I like it but here are some photos:
Polishes used:
Sinful Colors
~Irish Green-neon green jelly
~Last Chance-deep hunter green creme
~Olympia-soft sage green creme
~Green Ocean-blue/green flakies in a clear base
China Glaze
~Four Leaf Clover-bright grass green creme
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails
~Limestone-bright lime green creme
Love & Beauty (Forever 21 brand)
~Green glitter polish-large, small and micro green holographic hex glitters in a clear base
I also used a couple of striping polishes in white and yellow to add details.
A side note on Green Ocean. It's a coveted St. Patrick's Day shade which I recently purchased 4 bottles of. I'm keeping one and one will go to my secret St. Paddy's Day exchange recipient but the other two I'm planning a giveaway with, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Please check out the other ladies participating in the ABC Challenge, you can find their links at the end of the post.
As always, thanks so much for reading!

19 of 31: Galaxy Nails
Howdy, everyone! I've got some galaxy nails for you today. I've done galaxies once before and so I wanted to try something with a different color palette this time. I went for the darker side of things...whaddya think?
I don't think I can even begin to list all the colors I used. I know I started, once again, with 2 coats of Sonia Kashuk in Rock Star but after that it gets a little fuzzy lol I had a lot of trouble with this manicure and had to start over once. I'll include a list at the end of this post if you're interested in knowing exactly which colors I used. Galaxy nails are really one of my favorite manicures ever. The way the colors sponge on and look kind of like a mess until that top coat goes on is just magic every time! There are tons of tutorials for this technique online and it's pretty easy to do, so grab as many colors as you want and give it a try...you know you want to!
Colors used:
NYC Long wearing in Luxury Lime Creme
Milani 3D Holographic in 3D
Milani Jewel FX in Gold
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in For Sher-bert
Sally Hansen Diamond Strong in Something Blue
Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine in French White Creme
Wet 'n' Wild Megalast in I Need a Refresh-Mint
I think that's everything! Thanks so much for reading and check out tomorrow's challenge; water marble!

Galaxy Nails
Good evening (or morning as the case may be)! Is everyone as ready for the end of this week as I am? It's been a very productive week for me both at work and at home, but I'll be happy to see the back end of it.
Tonight, I have a fun manicure that turned out so much better than I thought it would. I know everyone has seen "Galaxy" nails and there are as many different ways to do this manicure as there are people who've done it. For my manicure, I used this tutorial that I found via Pinterest initially. If you don't know what Pinterest is, I urge you to click that link and check it out!
Anyway, here is my result!
Aren't they fun?? I cannot wait to see these in the sunlight! For my version (following the above tutorial), I started with two coats of China Glaze First Mate, which is a really deep navy. Then I used one coat of Sinful Colors Frenzy; a small purple and light blue glitter in a clear base. Over that, I sponged Wet n Wild's Wild Shine in French White, Sinful Colors Olympia and Cinderella, China Glaze For Audrey and O.P.I. Grape...Set...Match. Whew! I sponged a little First Mate back over the edges and finished the sponge part with a little Wet n Wild's Wild Shine Black Creme in the corners and where ever I thought a little more depth was needed. Wet n Wild's Fastdry Beautiful But Dangerous went on top of all the sponging, followed by a few dots of white "stars" using a tiny brush. Finished with a coat of Seche Vite, this manicure is out of this world! (See what I did there? Tee hee!)
The depth and color in this manicure is fantastic and I'll definitely be doing these again with some different colors. And my current best manicure tip is to get yourself a bottle of pure acetone: it's unrivaled for cuticle clean-up! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!
