*Polish provided by Born Pretty Store for honest review*
Good evening, everyone! I've got a Try It On Tuesday post ready to go for you guys. I know, I know it's only Monday, but I'm early for once so I'm gonna ride the wave lol I'm also rolling in a Born Pretty Store review here, cuz I like to multi-task. Hope you guys don't mind! By the way, if you're interested in joining the TIOT crew, all the how-to can be found on Sassy Paints Facebook page.
So today, I've got BPS's Hologram Effect #10 (plus a bit of nail art) to share with you all. I'm sure many of you have seen a few swatches of BPS's holographic polish and know how pretty they are. I knew I had to give at least one a try!
And isn't it a stunner?! #10 (because they really don't have a "name" name for these) is a bright turquoise with a mid to strong linear holographic effect. The holo will, of course, be most prominent in sunlight, but it actually picks up indoor light quite well.
The color is pretty darn spectacular, no? The formula is great as well. I'm wearing 3 coats in these photos but would have been fine with 2. You know me, I like to over-do it :) I'm wearing a coat of Seche Vite in these pics as well and I didn't notice any holo dulling with it at all. #10 is gorgeous all around!
As stated above, I like to over-do things, so I wanted to spice up #10 a bit. Using the chevron tape technique I showed you guys a few posts ago, I added some patterns on my index and ring fingers with butter London's Trustafarian, a light green polish with a more subtle holo effect.

Born Pretty Store's Hologram Effect #10 retails for $5.59 for a 6ml bottle. This is the only slightly disappointing thing about this polish. 6ml is pretty small. The average full size bottle of polish is more like 15ml, so this is about half of that. I don't have an issue with it, as I never seem to wear any single polish enough to run out, but if you're not a crazy stash-er like me, it might be a point to consider when purchasing. I can say that you'll find very little else to be disappointed with #10. She's lovely, applies well and BPS's shipping usually takes less time than estimated. If you do decide to order, please use my Coupon Code to save yourself 10% off your purchase!
Has anyone else tried any of Born Pretty Store's holo polishes? What did you think?
Thanks so much for reading!

Above the Curve: Kiss My Asteroid Chevron Accent Manicure
Howdy everyone! I've got a beautiful, beautiful polish to show you all today. I've been really lucky in the giveaway circuit in the last couple of weeks. I think I've won 6 giveaways this month already, so that's a tip for you...enter all the giveaways! Anyway, Above the Curve does a ton of giveaways on their facebook page and, around the first of this month, I was lucky enough to win one bottle of my choice from their current line. It was really hard to choose just one because they have so many awesome polishes but, in the end, I decided on Kiss My Asteroid. I'll admit my decision was based partly on the name, cuz, c'mon! But it's also a gorgeous polish, check it out!
Kiss My Asteroid is a blackened linear holographic polish. O. M. G. Seriously folks, you NEED this polish in your stash, like, yesterday! KMA is so, so pretty!
Not only is this polish a visual stunner, the formula is flawless! Smooth, fast-drying, and opaque in 2-3 coats, KMA is win all around.
My accent nails here are sporting a chevron pattern using Julep's Rebel, a silver scattered holographic polish. I'll actually be doing a tutorial on how to create this chevron pattern later this week. I usually use a different method to create a chevron pattern, but the technique I used here is SO much easier and I believe it's my calling to share it with the world! Be on the look out for that in the next couple of days.
As with most holo polishes, Kiss My Asteroid comes alive in sunlight. Look at that rainbow yumminess!
I've ordered a few polishes now from Above the Curve and I just love them! They're a great indie brand with quality products and wonderful customer service. You should definitely check them out!

ABC Challenge: H is for Holographic
Howdy, everyone! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another ABC Challenge post! We're up to "H" now and I had an idea to do something fancier than what I did, but, quite frankly, I'm exhausted, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It's been a long week and it's not looking to get shorter any time soon. That said, a great mani always makes me feel better. And this manicure is pretty darn fantastic. Without any more gilding the lily, here ya go:
What you're looking at is the slightly dimmed glory of Fascination Street by Cirque. I say "slightly dimmed" because there was absolutely no sun today for me to get outdoor photographs of this loveliness. I should mention that the "H" in this manicure stands for holographic. FS is a strong linear holographic polish with a dark purple base. This beauty simply stuns you in the sunshine and I highly recommend snagging a bottle from their website as soon as you can! FS will set you back around $15 but it's so totally worth it! I've paired it here with a bright purple Color Club polish (no name as it came in a set I got at Marshall's) as a base.
I'm hoping the sun might peek out tomorrow so I can get a couple of photos of this in it's true glory, but, as I scored 4 Orlys and 2 China Glazes at Sally's today for under $30, I somehow doubt Fascination Street is going to stay on long enough for the sun to come out. So many lovely polishes, so little time!
Speaking of Sally's, they have a great sale on Orly, 2 for $11 plus I had a 15% off coupon on any purchase over $20. China Glaze polishes are also $1 off with a coupon (found in their in-store circular) through tomorrow. I do love a little retail therapy!
Please stop in and take a look at the other gals who are participating in the ABC Challenge. You can check them out via the thumbnails below. Thanks so much for reading!

Julep's Evangeline
Howdy, everyone! Thank goodness it's Friday! I've had the whole day off and it's been fantastic! I got to take advantage of some sales at Claire's and Walgreen's (select Revlon polishes are $3.99!) AND my replacement Julep box showed up...yay! Someone stole my February Maven Box out of my building's lobby (or at least I think that's what happened) and so I had to file a claim with USPS. Julep was kind enough to replace the Box at no extra charge, so I'm pretty darn happy with their customer service department :)
Anyway, I do have a Julep to show you today, although it comes from the Cupid Mystery Box I received earlier this week. I love the Mystery Boxes...for some reason, the lure of possibly receiving 100's of dollars of product for $20 is a temptation I cannot resist! I did not, in fact, receive 100's of dollars worth of product this time, but I did get a new holographic polish which is almost as good.
This is Evangeline, a coppery pumpkin orange scattered holo. Coverage was great after one coat, but I did two cuz that's how I roll. I also topped it with Seche Vite because it does dry to a dull, matte finish. I think the top coat really brings out the holo. It's a very subtle holo effect, easier to see in sunlight of course, but it creates a really nice shimmer and I love the color.
Now the last picture I have for you is something that perplexes me. I'm guessing this is something new that Julep is doing. They've provided me a "Swatch Me!" sticker for this bottle. So here's the photo:
My question is this; if they've already applied the sticker to the lid, which does, of course, have the brush attached to it, how the heck am I supposed to swatch it onto the sticker? Am I just being difficult or does this seem silly to anyone else? I asked my boyfriend this question and he agreed with me that it seemed a little odd. It would make more sense to provide the sticker, let me swatch the polish and THEN stick it on top of the bottle. Is it just me? What do you think?
