Fall Hallow's Eve Giveaway!

It's finally here! I'm so excited to start up my Fall Hallow's Eve Giveaway after planning and collecting prizes for so long!  And I know you're all looking forward to it, too :) But, before we get to the prizes, I want to run a few numbers by you all.  Because of you wonderful people, I have 247 GFC followers, 343 Bloglovin' followers, AND 557(!) Facebook likes!  I absolutely cannot believe that there are so many of you out there and that's really what this giveaway is about.  While many of the prizes are Fall/Halloween themed, and while I do love Fall and I do love Halloween, what I really want to do is thank all of you for your support.  Blogging is no where near as much fun when no one is reading ;)

Alright, I know you're all itching to see what goodies are up for grabs!  First up, there are two prizes donated by Leah and Panacea from My Nail Polish is Poppin'.  These sweet gals were kind enough to answer my call for donations and I know they'd love it if you stopped by and expressed your appreciation on their blog or Facebook.

Prize Pack #1: Hoof Mini Mani Set, Salon Perfect~Orange Flame, Wet 'n' Wild Megalast~On the 101

Prize Pack #2: Zombie Nail Stickers, Wet 'n' Wild Fantasy Makers~In the Coffin, Color Club~Green (no name)

*The following prizes were purchased by me for this giveaway.*

The next 7 prizes are all from me :)  I do want to mention that, as you're reading the descriptions, some items are not currently pictured.  I was late ordering a few things, so I'll add photos as I get them.  I did link things up so if you want to see the missing prizes, you can reference the link.  I had asked on Facebook if you guys would prefer mixed Prize Packs of Indies and mainstream polishes or Packs of all indie/all mainstream.  The overwhelming votes were for mixing it up so I did, for the most part.  There are three mixed Prize Packs, one nail art Pack, one all Indie Pack, and one all mainstream Pack.

Additionally, I'm able to offer an International Prize this time!  I know I get a lot of support from folks outside of the U.S. and I wanted to be able to offer you all a prize as well.  The last prize is specifically for International folks and will have a separate Rafflecopter widget for entry.

I do so hope you guys are as excited about these prizes as I was picking them out!  A few rules to keep in mind when entering:

1. There are two Rafflecopter widgets.  The first is marked for U.S. entries and the second is marked for International entries.  If you are International (outside the U.S.) and would like to enter the U.S. contest, you MUST have a U.S. shipping address where I can ship your prize and they would then ship it on to you.  U.S. contestants MAY NOT enter the International contest.  Doing so will result in forfeiture of ANY prize.
2. You must be 18 years or older or have parent/guardian permission to enter.
3. There are 6 mandatory entries.  All other entries are optional.  I tried not to make it too onerous to fill out.
4. There are 8 U.S. Prize Packs and one International Prize.  I will draw one winner for each Prize and contact them via email.  Each winner will have 48 hours from the time of notification to claim their prize or they forfeit and I will redraw a new winner for that Prize.
5. I cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged prizes.  I package things carefully, but cannot help what acrobatics the USPS decides to put them through after they leave my hands.
6. The giveaway will start at midnight CST on 10/4/2013 and accept entries through midnight CST on 10/21/2013.
7. If you have questions/concerns/problems, please contact me on Facebook or email me at ndirks@hotmail.com.

One more time, I just want to express my gratitude to all of you, whether you follow me on GFC, Bloglovin', or Facebook for your support.  Thank you so much for reading and good luck to everyone!

International Entries
(HEADS UP!!  U.S. entries are NOT allowed on the International Rafflecopter widget!!  I'm giving the U.S. folks who've already entered here a pass this time, because perhaps I wasn't clear on this.  Please read the rules!  The only prize I can offer the International folks is the gift certificate, so it's not fair if I let U.S. people enter this one, too!  Thanks for understanding!)

LynBDesigns Giveaway Winner and Two Polishes for Review

Hi there!  I've drawn for my LynBDesigns giveaway winner, but I'm afraid you're going to have to wait while I review a couple of fabulous polishes before I announce the lucky gal's name ;)  I've got two more polishes from LynBDesigns which Jenna generously provided me for review.

First up is Happy Birthday to You Blue.

Part of LBD's Dr. Suess themed collection (Many Colors of Suess), HBtYB is a shimmery metallic royal blue polish that was difficult as all get out to photograph! lol  I'm a big fan of Jenna's polishes and have shopped her etsy store a few times.  I've been tempted by HBtYB before but figured I've got around 5 metallic blue polishes in my collection already, why would I need this one?  Because it's fabulous!  But that fabulousness is super hard to capture on camera.

What you're only catching glimpses of here are the beautiful little sparks of pink and green that show up amongst the more camera-visible gold and silver bits.  This polish is truly different from any other metallic blue I have and I can't believe I passed over it so many times in the past!

I finally ended up turning off my brighter lights and photographing HBtYB in a more "room temperature" light, which I think shows of the colors in it a bit better, but still this one is best viewed IRL.  Trust me, if you buy it, you won't be disappointed!

Next up,  I Was Only Saying Hello is another polish from LBD's Innuendos in Space collection.  I've reviewed a couple from this collection already and I have to say this Dr. Who themed collection is my favorite!  Jenna's really knocked it out of the park with these!  IWOSH is a gorgeous greyed perwinkle crelly base with a mix of silver, white, black and bright blue hexes and squares in varying sizes.

As you know by now, I'm a sucker for this type of polish.  The depth you get in these just can't be beat!  I did 4 coats of IWOSH with no undies here, although you could definitely layer it over another polish for fewer coats.  This was really opaque in 3 coats, but I was having fun with the glitters and couldn't stop there.  The formula was nice and I didn't have any trouble with application.  In fact, for having some larger sized glitters, IWOSH gave me no fishing issues, which is greatly appreciated!

Ok, ok now on to the main event!  The winner of my Am I Ginger? LynBDesigns giveaway is....entry #450 Debra P.!  Congratulations!  Debra has been emailed and has 48 hours to respond or she forfeits her prize and I redraw.

Thanks so much to everyone who entered and especially to those who shared!  I will be having my 100x3 giveaway coming up, hopefully next week, to celebrate 100+ followers on GFC, Bloglovin', AND Facebook!  You guys totally rock!  I hope you'll all stick around :)

LynBDesigns: 2 reviews and a giveaway :)

Hi there!  Welcome to Monday!  Ok, ok I can hear the boos and sighs of despair, but it's not THAT bad.  I've got some gorgeous polish to share with you and, to help alleviate the Monday blues, I do have a little giveaway to lift your spirits.  How does that sound?

We'll start with the polishes first.  They're so lovely I'm sure you won't mind scrolling through the pics to get to the prize at the end.  Both polishes I'm going to show you today are from LynBDesigns' Innuendos In Space collection inspired by Dr. Who.  I must admit, I'm not a Whovian.  Not for lack of interest or because I don't like the show, more because I just don't have the time to start from the beginning and give it the attention it so rightly deserves.  I've heard good things and the show certainly has fans galore, so maybe I'll get to it eventually.  Just because I don't watch the show doesn't mean I can't appreciate a gorgeous polish inspired by it though!

First up is It's Mauve and Dangerous.  A soft lavender with a subtle linear holographic finish, IMAD is a perfect Spring-y, feminine polish.  The linear holographic effect is most pronounced in direct sunlight but any bright light will bring it out.

IMAD's formula was great, easy and smooth application.  It is a bit sheer, I'm wearing 4 coats in these photos, but you could layer it over another polish easily.  The polish also dried quickly and I didn't have any problems with denting or smudging.  I did use 1 coat of Seche Vite to bring out the shine and I did not notice any dulling of the holographic effect, as sometimes happens with top coat.

Overall, a pretty polish.  If you're looking for a holo to knock your socks off, It's Mauve and Dangerous is not your girl.  But, if you need something feminine and subtle for work, check her out!

Speaking of sock-knocking-off holos, here's Am I Ginger?  Yowza!  A coppery orange with a strong linear holographic finish, AIG is a stunner!  I could not take a bad photo of this polish!  I snapped 20+  and wanted to show every single one...but I settled for 4 lol

The base color of this polish is pretty all on it's a own but it's that holo that really takes AIG to the next level.  I have nothing like this in my stash and I'm thrilled to own it! It just glows from within...beautiful!

As with It's Mauve and Dangerous, the formula was great.  Opaque in 2-3 coats, AIG gave me no trouble at all.  Fast-drying, smooth and easy to clean up, it's just about everything you could ask for in a polish.  I did use a coat of SV here as well and, again, no trouble with dulling.

Jenna is currently having a 50% OFF SALE in her etsy store until Aug. 1...so head over there and snag some of her fantastic polishes!  Really, that's a deal you can't beat, it means full size bottles are only $4!

By a happy accident, I've ended up with 2 bottles of Am I Ginger?  I checked with Jenna (LynBDesigns owner and creator) to see if it was ok to give the extra bottle away to my readers, she agreed and so I've got one bottle up for grabs!  I've set up a giveaway thru rafflecopter, so just use the widget to enter.  The giveaway starts today and runs through 8/9/2013 at 12 AM.

And on the rules for this giveaway:

1. U.S. entrants only (if you're international and are willing to pay for shipping or have a US shipping address where you can receive a package, contact me at ndirks@hotmail.com before you enter and we can work it out)
2. Must be 18 years of age to enter or have a parent's/guardian's permission to enter
3. One winner will be chosen by rafflecopter.  The winner has 48 hours after I notify them to respond or I will choose a new winner.
