Try It On Tuesday: Anne Kathleen Nail Polish Hazel

*Product received as a giveaway prize.  Unsolicited review.*

Hello everyone!  I'm a little early on this week's Try It On Tuesday so I hope you'll all forgive me.  I just want to get it posted tonight cuz I won't have a ton of time tomorrow.  Plus this polish is really pretty and I just wanted to share it!

Anne Kathleen Nail Polish is a new-to-me indie brand whose recent giveaway I was lucky enough to win.  As my prize, I got to pick a polish from the new Cafe au Lait collection; a lovely 6-polish collection inspired by your favorite coffee shop treats.  I chose Hazel, a nutty brown crelly loaded with small light green hexes, which actually look gold at first glance.

This color is so warm and rich and the glitter adds a nice touch of sparkle. The formula was nice, a little streaky on the first coat but evened out nicely on the second.  I'm wearing 3 coats here with a coat of Seche Vite.  The glitters aren't terribly bumpy in Hazel, but you'll probably want a top coat for any rough bits.

Overall, I like this polish a lot and am looking forward to trying a few more of Leanne's (the owner and maker of Anne Kathleen) creations when my budget allows.  AK polish is currently retailing for $10 for a full size, 15ml bottle.  In addition to polish, Leanne has plans to extend her line into other cosmetics and jewelry as well.  To keep updated on new additions, release dates and other interesting news, be sure to follow AK on Facebook!

If you're interested in joining the Try It On Tuesday group, all you need to do is "like" SassyPaints Facebook page.  Then, every Tuesday, post a photo and link (it doesn't have to be a blog link; you can use Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Tumblr, or whatever!) of your chosen TIOT polish on SassyPaints' Wall.  Be sure to include the brand and name of the polish as well.  Super easy, right?

Thanks so much for reading!
